AUSTRALIA steamed home in the second half to beat New Zealand 3-1 in the Four Nations women's tournament.

The match was square at 1-1 with 13 minutes to go but a late flurry by the Hockeyroos gave them their second victory of the tournament to go on top of the points table.

Australia opened the scoring when Fiona Boyce pushed in a loose ball two minutes before halftime.

New Zealand bounced straight back, earning a penalty corner with just over a minute left on the clock before Katie Glynn slotted a drag flick high into the goal.

With 13 minutes remaining, Australia took the lead with a blistering penalty corner from Jodie Schulz then Ashleigh Nelson knocked in a field goal in the 62nd minute to put the result beyond doubt.

In the earlier game 13th-ranked India drew 1-1 with the United States.
